Made In Switzerland

WWE Magazine: Our photo concept for you plays off the expression ?the efficient Swiss.? How do you embody that philosophy of clean design and function?
Antonio Cesaro: Switzerland is a very proud country, and I think that?s because of the fact that we truly are so efficient. You see Swiss watches?they?re the best in the world; Swiss banks?they?re the best in the world. And Swiss wrestlers?we?re the best in the world. To me,that means that I work out, and I train and I try to get better every single day. And that?s efficiency to me.

WWE Mag:Since they seem to change weekly, what are the definitive names of your maneuvers?
Cesaro: I don?t really care about the names of maneuvers and I honestly don?t spend my time sitting around trying to think of cool names for my moves. I think that?s a problem in society: Everybody wants to think of a cool name before they actually have the move. They want to build their brand before they actually have a product. I already have the product. That?s why I like the technical names of moves. If it?s agut-wrench, it?s agut-wrench. It doesn?t have to have a Cesaro name on it or something like that. Nowadays, everybody wants to be flashy and famous, and this and that.

WWE Mag:What do you miss most about home?
Cesaro: Everything. The longer you?re away from home, the more you miss it. I?ve been away from home for a long time, and I?m always very happy and excited to go back. It?s always a tremendous experience.

WWE Mag:Is there anything about acclimating to WWE that?s humbled or surprised you at all?
Cesaro: There are always surprises, and always things you didn?t expect. That?s part of life, and that?s part of being with WWE. That?s why it?s such a great opportunity to step into a WWE ring, and that?s why WWE is the biggest company in this business on the planet. So,of course,I?ll have experiences like that, and I?m grateful for them because I?m living the dream?I?m living the American dream.

WWE Mag:Tell us: Does Antonio Cesaro have any supporters backstage?
Cesaro:William Regal would be one. Superstars such as Regal and fighters like Wade Barrett, too. I wouldn?t say we?re a clique, but many of the guys from Europe bond together. The world has a very different way of viewing America than Americans do. And together, we get to share that.
